Our Philosophy
St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School believes that the education of our students is a partnership with our families. We encourage parent involvement through our Family Service Hours. The program is an opportunity for each family to help us accomplish our common goals in providing a solid Catholic education in a healthy, safe, and attractive environment for academic success.
Requirements
Families are required to give 20 hours towards their Family Service Hours, and an additional 5 hours for the Annual Enchilada Dinner.
Volunteer Hours
Volunteer hours count towards Family Service Hours if the activity directly benefits St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School. Community service to other non-profit organizations, while charitable, does not count toward the St. Frances Cabrini Family Service Hour requirement. Families will find many opportunities to fulfill Family Service Hours in all areas of school life. These will be communicated periodically through email and/or monthly newsletters.
Cash Payment
A family may choose not to volunteer their Family Service Hours commitment and instead pay the value of their contractual time. The value of 25 hours of work is $250, or $10.00 per hour. Because Family Service Hours is part of the school's contractual agreement, this payment is not considered a donation.
In-Kind Donation
If a parent’s business or profession could provide a service to the school, please consider offering the product or service to fulfill Family Service Hours. Once your Family Service Hours have been fulfilled for the school year, volunteering these products/services will become tax-deductible, and a tax receipt may be obtained from the advancement office.
Reporting Family Service Hours
Please record your volunteer hours for the 2025-2026 school year on the Service Hours Form. Please submit the Service Hours Form within a week of completion to the main office.
Unfulfilled Family Service Hour Requirements
If hours are not completed by the end of the school year, they will be added to your FACTS account.
